![]() How would you differentiate Grace Manor from competitors that are in the same line of work as you are? If someone visits a resident, families can register to receive a text message to notifying them that someone is visiting their loved one. Accushield keeps track of who’s coming in and out of our community. In order to keep our residence safe, we use Accushield. Families can reserve a table to have a private meal with their loved one. Complementary lunch and tours for families and the potential resident interested in Grace Manor Suites. We provide phone, internet and cable at no extra cost. We’re the only Assisted Living Facility that has this system! Some of the amenities we have include a beautiful courtyard, where our gardening club meets. They use the IN2L to play interactive games, on a big large screen tv. It’s a computer system designed for seniors. Our seniors even use a computer! We have a system called “It’s Never-To-Late” (IN2L). We also have church services every Sunday (on campus). Some of our outside activities include outings to local restaurants, museums, parks and shopping day. We have arts and crafts, painting, we play bingo (a favorite), memory games and different learning activities. She plays the piano for our residence, and they love it. She was a music and arts teacher and is so creative and talented. Our activities director, Barbara, is incredible. What activities and amenities does your facility have available to its residence? All of our new residence is greeted with a warm welcome, a move in gift, and we will assist them unpack if requested. This whole process takes about two weeks. ![]() If we are not, we will help them find a community that best fits their needs, possibly our sister community, The Manor Memory Care.Ĥ. Once we’ve determined we are, we schedule a contract day with our Executive Director. This assessment gives us an opportunity to see if we’re the right fit for the resident. Once a deposit is made, we’ll do a health assessment on the future resident. Once the tour is over, we’ll discuss our rates, deposit, and any resources that can help with the costs and transition into our community.ģ. I enjoy discovering options with the families as I strive to help them understand the process of this important move and transition in life.Ģ. We do a walk-through of our community and show our model rooms. This gives us a chance to get to know the family and their loved one and understand what they’re looking for. Walk me the on-boarding process from potential client to resident.ġ. If you can think of it, we can more than likely accommodate it for you. We also provide transportation to any outside doctors’ visits. We provide three meal a day, and I must say, our cooks are absolutely amazing! We have a lot of social activities during the day, a beauty shop inside our location, and in-house doctors. Laundry, housekeeping, all utilities, med management and even an emergency pendent system. We’re all Inclusive! All care is included in the monthly rent. We even offer church services every Sunday! They are true believes in Christ and we love to implement that into our facility. The owners live in Lakeland themselves and are actively involved in the day-today operations of the community and are often checking in. We’re a family-oriented community for seniors who need a helping hand with their activities of daily living. If you could summarize what your company does within 2-3 sentences, how would you do so? Not many people can say that, so I’m very blessed. I first started with Utopia Home Care, worked with them for 4 years and eventually become the Family Advisor at Grace Manor Suites. This happened when I moved back from Georgia about 5 years ago. I’ve always loved the elderly, so when I saw the opportunity to work with them, I took it. It’s been about 5 years since I got started. I kind of fell into the Senior Care Industry. What was it that made you get into the Senior Care industry and how long as it been?
